Brooke Krim is the College Prep Advisor at DaVinci Academy, and has worked in this area since Fall 2011. Before that, she taught English and History for DaVinci Academy for several years, beginning when the school opened in 2004.
Brooke earned degrees at Ricks College (Associate Degree in Recreation Education), BYU (Bachelor Degree in English), and Weber State (History Degree, and Teaching Certificate). She also enjoyed summers working at various camps, such as the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City, a Kids Camp at Flathead Lake (Montana), and Village Camps in Leysin, Switzerland. Her love for teaching and learning about other cultures grew with each experience, and she is more than willing to talk to anyone about Switzerland (cheese, chocolate, Alps are her favorite topics).
Brooke met her husband while attending Weber State for her teaching certificate. They were married in 2010, and have three children that keep them busy and happy, although somewhat sleep-deprived. Brooke enjoyed teaching English and History for several years, and then switched to working part-time as a College Prep Advisor. She loves this job, as she still gets to work one-on-one with students as they make goals for their future, research college choices, and help them write essays for college admissions and scholarship applications. As much as she loved teaching, she feels like this job is perfect for her. Outside of DaVinci, Brooke enjoys coaching her girls' soccer teams, playing the piano, bike riding, reading, and going on dates with her husband.
