Misty Carver teaches AP Statistics and manages all of the secondary online courses.
She grew up in Washington, Hawaii, and then Utah, where she graduated from Roy High School. After high school she attended Utah State University were she graduated with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. She also met her husband at USU where they were partners in behavioral a rat lab. They named their rat Sleepy because the lab was at 7 am and neither of them are morning people! They were married in 2004 and have 1 daughter, who was born in 2007. After graduation Misty spent a year working at an elementary school as a 504 specialist and then a year working as a life skills coach and family teacher at a residential treatment school.
Misty then started grad school for a Master's Degree in Math Education at Western Governor's University. While attending grad school she worked for the state helping employees plan for and calculate retirement benefits. After completing her master's degree she worked with Ogden District teaching math for several years before joining the faculty at DaVinci in 2016.
Outside of school, Misty spends her free time reading, swimming, traveling, remodeling homes, and mentoring others on budgeting and finances.
