Ian Marshall is the instrumental music teacher at DaVinci Academy. He has taught band, orchestra, and percussion since Fall 2015.
Ian grew up close to DaVinci in Roy, UT. He began playing percussion in the 7th grade and continued to learn new instruments throughout high school at Roy High. After high school, he served an LDS mission to Belgium and the Netherlands where he gained a love for teaching.
After returning, Ian attended Brigham Young University and studied music education. While at BYU, he performed as principal percussionist in the Wind Symphony, as well as in the Philharmonic Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, and BYU Drumline. He met his wife Amy in college and they were married in 2014. Ian graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in music education in 2015.
Outside of DaVinci, Ian also instructs the Weber High School Drumline. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, as well as hobbies like music, sports, and woodworking.
